The Chilean superstar was pretty anonymous throughout today’s match at the Etihad, with Pep Guardiola’s men running out comfortable victors to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points, for the time being at least.
In fact, Sanchez lost possession 15 times in the first-half against City, more than any other player on the pitch. Did he already think he was playing under Pep?

Sanchez’s vision is superb. He’s managing to find a City player 2 months in advance

And as just about every football fan in the UK knows, Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to City when his contract expires at the end of the current season, and he didn’t exactly do a lot of quash the rumours after the full-time whistle.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Sanchez hug
Hugging his soon to be team mates. That's nice.

The only thing that could make this any worse is Pep hugging Sanchez at full time. Absolutely nailed on

To which Arteta might have added:
"Pep's a cunt. It's a prison. Don't come. I'm coming home.
Also you gave the ball away a lot, Alexis." pic.twitter.com/cDJSWCI2Py
