Valencia sign Arsenal midfielder Coquelin
Valencia have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin for a reported fee of £12millions.
The 26-year-old, who joined the Gunners from French side Stade Lavallois as a youth player in 2008, will sign a contract with the Spanish side until the summer of 2022.
Coquelin has dropped down the pecking order at the Emirates behind the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, and Granit Xhaka in the midfield pecking order with one Premier League start this season.
The Frenchman had enjoyed a degree of prominence under Arsene Wenger after his return from a loan spell at Charlton Athletic in December 2014 – most notably when he formed a partnership with Santi Cazorla.
Coquelin made160 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions as he is delighted to join Los Che Els Taronges via the club Twitter handle.
💬 Coquelin: “I am very happy, Valencia CF is a massive challenge for me.” 😁
