President Muhammadu Buhari today held a closed doors meeting with the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The agenda of the meeting which was held a few hours after news broke that security operatives laid a siege on the residences of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, was not made public.
Idris did not speak with State House correspondents after the meeting he had with Buhari. The Presidency is yet to issue a statement on the meeting at the time of filing this report.
