Manchester United is ready to sign Chelsea unhappy star David Luiz in January for a reported fee of £34, according to reports.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte had a fall out with Luiz that led to the defender being left out of the squad against the 1-0 victory over Manchester United.
The Daily Star claims the 30-year-old fell out with Conte after openly questioning his tactics following Chelsea’s 3-0 Champions League defeat to Roma just five days before the Manchester United game.
The newspaper says the defender is ‘extremely unhappy’ with how the situation has been handled and is disappointed the club’s hierarchy hasn’t supported him during his bust-up with the manager.
Also according to the report in the Daily Star, The former Paris Saint-Germain centre-back is pushing for a move away from Stamford Bridge and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has signified his interest to sign him.
Mourinho will no doubt appreciate the reunion with his former defender in a bid to find a compatible partner with Eric Bailey at the heart of the defence.
Chelsea would prefer to sell Luiz abroad instead of selling to their direct rival, in a bid to avoid the repeat of Nemanja Matic’s case.
