Dr. Eddy Olafeso, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in South West has disclosed that the party’s bigwigs are working endlessly to ensure that the rift between the governorship candidate of the party in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, who came second in the primary election is rectified.
Olafeso made this known to Punch in an interview in Osogbo on Monday.
According to the PDP chairman, the differences between Adeleke and Ogunbiyi can be sorted out and that there was no cause for alarm as regards their misunderstanding.
He stated that victory at the polls would be guaranteed when the camps and followers of both leaders put their difference behind them and embrace the challenge of dethroning the ruling All Progressive congress (APC) in the state.
Olafeso said, “There is no crisis between Adeleke and Ogunbiyi. Families resolve matters, differences, and we are working hard at resolving their differences. The party is together and we are one.”
He said the South West leadership and the national leadership of the party were working tirelessly to make sure that the candidate and the aggrieved aspirants are brought together to ensure success for the party in election.
