Sokratis Papastathopoulos has arrived in London to complete his long awaited move to Arsenal.
Arsenal had been in talks with Borrusia Dortmund and agreed a deal two weeks ago but official announcement was delayed until July. However, with pre-season training due to begin next week, Papastathopoulos has arrived in London to seal the transfer.
Papastathopoulos was pictured at Kalamata airport and Greek outlet Sport Sto Noto say the defender boarded a British Airways flight last night. When Papastathopoulos is announced by Arsenal, he will become Unai Emery’s third signing this summer.
He comes in after deals for Steven Lichtsteiner and Bernand Leno have been completed and announced. And the trio are expected to be followed by the arrival of Uruguay and Sevilla midfielder Lucas Torreira.
