Mauricio Pochettino’s young side moved up to third in the Premier League table thanks to a routine victory at Carrow Road, with Dele Alli and Harry Kane both netting.
Tottenham eased to a 3-0 victory at Norwich Cityon Tuesday evening to pick up their fifth straight win in all competitions and move up to third place in the Premier League, leapfrogging Arsenal thanks to their superior goal difference.
It took barely two minutes for Spurs to take the lead, as the in-form Dele Alli latched onto Christian Eriksen’s deflected shot and passed the ball into an unguarded net to get the visitors off to the perfect start.
Tottenham continued to dominate the contest and doubled their advantage mid-way through the half; Alli was involved again, bundled over inside the box by Sebastien Bassong, and Harry Kane stepped up to slot home the resulting spot-kick.
Norwich improved in the second half but struggled to really test Hugo Lloris, and Spurs killed off the contest late on as Kane, fresh from hitting the post, pounced on a defensive error, raced clear and buried the ball in the far corner with aplomb.
