According to Premium Times reports, there are plans in the works to transfer the ex-Intelligencea Response Team leader, Abba Kyari, from Kuje prison, where he is currently being held, to the custody of the State Security Service (SSS).

The most recent attack on Kyari occurred on May 4th, when inmates claimed that the ex-intelligence officer had taken money from them but still prosecuted them; there were approximately 190 inmates, the majority of whom were serving sentences for druugggg-related crimes.

One of PremiumTimes’ sources, a state investigator and intelligence official, described Kyari as a “dodgy criminal.”

According to one of the convicts, Mr Kyari was “eliminating minor (druuuggg) dealers to clear the field for Afam Ukatu,” a reputed billionaire druuuuggg lord linked to Mr Kyari’s N3 billion Trammmaadol transaction.

According to a Kuje prison source who obtained testimonies from irritated inmates, “inmates claimed that upon arrest, Abba Kyari demanded bribes to k#ll the case, then still prosecuted them.”

According to reports, kyari had to pay N200,000 ‘in initial settlement fees’ and then ‘purchased DSTV subscriptions for cells to buy loyalty and peace,’ of the inmates.
