The Club Brugge manager Ivan Leko of Nigerian forward Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis has backed Wesley Moraes to make Arsenal move in January transfer window.
The 22-year-old Brazilian has caught Gunners attention with his form in front of goal in the Belgian top-flight this season, scoring ten times and four in 15 league appearances to help Blue-Black into second place in the Jupiler log table.
La Liga side Valencia and Serie A outfit Fiorentina have also shown interest in Wesley but Leko has championed his star man to make the switch to the Premier League if Arsenal comes calling this January.
The Croatian coach told Belgian outlet DH: “I’m sure that Wesley has the level to play for Arsenal.
“He can be proud of what he’s done in the past six months.
“He’s working hard and reaping the benefits, but to play in the Premier League, he needs to work even harder, and every day.
“Am I worried for the rest of the season? There are intelligent people in the club who prepare the future and anticipate departures.
“I’m not worrying about what happens with Dennis, Wesley or Vanaken during the next transfer window just yet.”
Wesley has netted 31 times for Brugge in 100 appearances since joining from Slovakian side AS Trencin in 2016 as Arsenal are looking to cover the void Danny Welbeck left due to injury he sustain against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League encounter last month at Emirate Stadium.
