Former Manchester United striker, Michael Owen, has snubbed Manchester City’s Erling Haaland while naming the best value Premier League transfer this season.
Haaland has taken the English Premier League by storm this season after joining Manchester City in a bargain £51million transfer from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
The Norway international has scored 25 goals in 18 Premier League games this season.
But he still is not the best value signing of the season, according to Owen.
Owen picked Brighton midfielder Kaoru Mitoma, who has been in great form recently, as the Premier League best value player this season.
He tweeted: “Another stunning goal from Mitoma today. Haaland has to be the signing of the season but I’d say Mitoma, at 2.6m, has to be the best value for money signing.”
