Large turnout of voters in Ondo

The presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday witnessed large turnout of voters in Ondo State.

Most of the polling units monitored across the state were filled with voters anxious to cast their ballots for their preferred voters.

At Old Reading Room, Unit 001, Ward 06, Idanre Local Government Area, voters in their numbers waited patiently for the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Meanwhile at some polling units, voters complained of the inability of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, to verify their identities.

According to one of the voters, 80-year-old Akintububo Thompson, both his face and his Permanent Voter Card, PVC, were not recognised by the BVAS.
