Buckingham Palace has given an update on the health status of Prince Philip, husband of the English Monarch, Queen Elizabeth who has been hospitalized.
DAILY POST reported that the 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh was rushed to a London hospital after feeling unwell.
A statement from the Royal Palace said Prince Philip is expected to remain in the hospital for a few more days.
However, in an update on Thursday, Buckingham Palace revealed that the Duke of Edinburgh had undergone successful heart surgery but will remain in the hospital for several more days for medical checkups.
“The Duke of Edinburgh yesterday underwent successful surgery for a pre-existing heart condition at St Bartholomew’s hospital.
“He will, however, remain hospitalised for several days more “for treatment, rest and medical check-ups,” the statement said.
Recall that the Royal Family had announced that both Prince Philip and the 94-year-old Queen Elizabeth received the first shots of the COVID vaccine against the Coronavirus disease.
