Transfer: Sterling joins another English club
Chelsea starlet, Dujon Sterling has left Chelsea for Wigan Athletic, reports Wigan’s official website.
The young Chelsea wing-back joined on a season-long loan deal.
Sterling becomes the fifth summer acquisition for the Lactics after David Marshall, Antonee Robinson, Lewis Macleod and Joe Williams earlier joined the club.
The 19-year-old, who enjoyed a prosperous loan stint with Coventry last season, has won the FA Youth Cup as well as the UEFA Youth League with Chelsea, both on two occasions.
“I heard really good things about the gaffer here and he loves giving young players opportunities. I just want to learn from him and hopefully he can make me a better player”, he told the club’s website.
He will wear the No.15 jersey for his new club during the activities of the 2019-2020 season.
